Walking home with Mrs. Krenzien about 10 p. m. Monday he said they saw a large meteor almost directly overhead passing from west to east. It slightly resembled a well lighted cabin plane, Krenzien said, but there was no noise to be heard.
Krenzien reported he had seen many types of meteors, bui found this one different in that it appeared to be following a path paralelling the curvature of the earth and moved neither up nor down nor to either side.
Rapid City (Dakota du Sud), 12 février — (AP) — Un météore géant, considéré être un des plus grands jamais vus ici, a flashed across the sky about 9 o'clock (mountain time) last night. The meteor, shedding a bright, white light, streaked from northwest to southeast, flanked on either side by smaller balls of fire.
