Brilliant Ball Sighted In Northern Counties Of State.

NORFOLK Neb., Feb 13 — uAP — Inquiry concerning a mysterious meteor or lighted airplane believed to have been sighted in this region last night, brought the first reply from Frank C. Krenzien, druggist at Clearwater.

Walking home with Mrs. Krenzien about 10 p. m. Monday he said they saw a large meteor almost directly overhead passing from west to east. It slightly resembled a well lighted cabin plane, Krenzien said, but there was no noise to be heard.

Krenzien reported he had seen many types of meteors, bui found this one different in that it appeared to be following a path paralelling the curvature of the earth and moved neither up nor down nor to either side.

Seen In Dakota.

RAPID CITY. S. D.. Feb. 12—(AP) —A giant meteor, believed to be one of the largest ever seen here, flashed across the sky about 9 o'clock (mountain time) last night. The meteor, shedding a bright, white light, streaked from northwest to southeast, flanked on either side by smaller balls of fire.
