Strange Sight Witnessed in Rochester in Early Morning.

Rochester, July 10. – East side residents are wrought up over what they consider a supernatural phenomenon early Sunday morning [July 8], when they saw an American flag of great dimensions and regular design shining suspended in the eastern sky.  They say the sight lasted until sunrise.

Illusions of a similar sort have been noted in other cities.  Flags on tall buildings suddenly illuminated by a searchlight have the aspect of being cut off from earth and hung in the sky.
